A tribute worthy of a trailblazer.

We sat down and talked with dozens of people who were changed by her outlook, friendship, mentorship, career and impact — and the narrative we surfaced with was nothing short of remarkable.

We combed through hundreds of photos, mementos and handwritten notes squeezed in textbook margins that told a story all of their own. Combined with these firsthand accounts, they gave us everything we needed to build a meaningful narrative true to Betty’s life.

Nothing tells the story of a person’s life like the very things they left behind. The site’s design revolved around those scanned images and notes that spoke to her dedication better than any words could. Thus, the Foundation website became a collage of her life’s work.
